JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA--(Marketwire - March 27, 2008) -  AngloGold Ashanti (NYSE: AU)
will release its first quarter results on 6 May 2008.

Due to the South African Government declaring 2 May 2008 a public holiday,
AngloGold Ashanti has moved the release date for its Q1 2008 results to 6
May 2008.

A live presentation will be held at the AngloGold Ashanti corporate Offices
at 9h00 SA time, followed by a live conference call at 15h00 SA time (9h00
