<p>BELLEVUE, WA--(Marketwire - August 5, 2008) -  Esterline Technologies (<exchange name="NYSE">NYSE</exchange>: <ticker name="ESL">ESL</ticker>) plans to
have a conference call to discuss ongoing talks with a Canadian government
R&D panel.  Esterline's conference call will feature remarks by Robert
Cremin, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Following these
remarks, there will be a question and answer session.  The call is
scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (2:00 p.m. Pacific Time) and
