Extra Space Storage Inc. Announces Date of Earnings Release and Conference Call to Discuss Third Quarter 2008 Results
           

<p>SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - October 13, 2008) -  Extra Space Storage Inc. (<exchange name="NYSE">NYSE</exchange>: <ticker name="EXR">EXR</ticker>)
announced today it will release financial results for the three and nine
months ended September 30, 2008 on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 after the
market closes.  The Company will also host a conference call at 1:00 p.m.
Eastern Time on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 to discuss its financial
results.

Hosting the call will be Extra Space Storage's Chairman and CEO Kenneth M.
Woolley. Joining him will be Spencer F. Kirk, President; Kent W.
