Extra Space Storage Inc. Announces Date of Earnings Release and Conference Call to Discuss Second Quarter 2008 Results
           

<p>SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - July 18, 2008) -  Extra Space Storage Inc. (<exchange name="NYSE">NYSE</exchange>: <ticker name="EXR">EXR</ticker>)
announced today it will release financial results for the three months
ended June 30, 2008 on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 after the market closes.  The
Company will also host a conference call at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time on
Wednesday, July 30, 2008 to discuss its financial results.

Hosting the call will be Extra Space Storage's Chairman and CEO Kenneth M.
Woolley. Joining him will be Spencer F. Kirk, President; Kent W.
Christensen, Executive Vice President and CFO; and Karl Haas, Executive
