HOUSTON, TX--(October 31, 2007) Systems West, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SYWI), Redwood Equities, Inc. announced plans today to become a joint-venture partner with The Gadfy Group, a Houston based developer, in two multi-housing development projects to be built in Northwest Houston and Huntsville, Texas. Each project is valued at approximately $22 million and will be completed in 2008.
The Traditions of Sam Houston will include 50 fourplexes in Huntsville, Texas and will provide quality housing in a campus environment for students of Sam Houston State University. The fourplexes will be individually owned, purchased by outside investors or parents of students, in a plan to offset the student’s college education and housing expenses.
The Houston project, The Traditions of Willowbrook, is located on the Sam Houston Parkway at Fallbrook Road. Plans include a gated community of 36 fourplexes, with units built in the style of two and three bedroom townhomes. Each unit will have an attached garage and upgrades throughout. The fourplexes will be individually owned by investors who seek the benefits of multi-housing investment and property management with single-family financing.
Gary Goff, President and CEO of Redwood Equities said that Redwood will provide the equity investment in both projects, becoming a partner with The Gadfy Group in the development and construction. “This is only the beginning of a bright future as partners in multi-housing development,†Goff said. “By offering quality housing for students and a plan to repay parents for college expenses, Redwood Equities will play a large role in America’s future.â€
