As major indexes reached their highest levels in two years, stocks are on pace to have the best monthly performance in over a decade this December. (Read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

Economic data released today:

Durable Goods Orders (MoM):
October Durable Goods Excluding-Transportation Revised to -1.9% from -2.7%; October Durable Goods Orders Revised to -3.1% from -3.4%; November Durable Goods Orders, Excluding-Defense, fell 2.3%; November Durable Goods Orders, Excluding-Transportation, rose 2.4%; U.S. November Durable Goods Orders fell 1.3%; Compared to Consensus of a decrease by 0.6%.

Initial Jobless Claims:
U.S. December 11 Week Jobless Claims Revised to 423K from 420K; U.S. December 11 Week Continuing Claims fell 103K to 4,064,000; U.S. Jobless Claims fell 3K to 420K in December 18 Week; Compared to Survey of a decrease by 2K.

Core PCE Price Index (MoM):
November PCE Price Index rose 0.1% Rate on Month; rose 1.0% on Year; November PCE Core Price Index rose 0.1% Rate on Month; rose 0.8% on Year.

Personal Spending/Income (MoM):
October Spending Revised to rise 0.7% from +0.4%; October Personal Income Revised to rise 0.4% from +0.5%; U.S. Personal Spending rise 0.4% in November; Compared to Consensus of an increase by 0.5%; U.S. Personal Income rise 0.3% in November; Compared to Consensus of an increase by 0.2%.

Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index:
University of Michigan 5-Year Inflation Forecast rose 2.8%; University of Michigan 12-Month Inflation Forecast rose 3.0%; University of Michigan End-December Current Index 85.3; University of Michigan End- December Sentiment 74.5.

Michigan Inflation Expectations:
University of Michigan End- December Expectations 67.5.

New Home Sales:
U.S. October New Home Sales Revised to 275K from 283K; U.S. November New Home Sales rose 5.5% to 290K; Compared to Consensus 300K.
