Initial Jobless Claims:
U.S. Jobless Claims for week of January 16 rose 36K to 482K compared to survey of a decrease by 4K; U.S. Continuing Claims for week of January 9 fell 18K to 4,599,000; U.S. Jobless Claims Revised for week of January 9 to 446K from 444K.

Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index:
Philadelphia Fed January Business Index Expected 18.0; Philadelphia Fed Firms Continue to See Improvement; Philadelphia Fed January New Orders 3.2 versus December 6.5; Philadelphia Fed January Shipments 11.0 versus December 15.3; Philadelphia Fed January Delivery Times 6.6 versus December 6.2; Philadelphia Fed January Inventories fell 1.6 versus December decrease by 7.4; Philadelphia Fed January Employment 6.1 versus December 6.3; Philadelphia Fed January New Orders 3.2 versus December 6.5; Philadelphia Fed January Business Index 15.2 versus December 20.4; Philadelphia Fed January Price Paid 33.2 versus December 33.8; Philadelphia Fed January Price Received 2.7 versus December decrease by 1.8.
